Called to Save People

Luke 9:56

We have here in this verse the mission of Jesus Christ while He was on this earth and now the mission left to the Church while we are on this earth. He said “the son of man (Jesus) is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them”.
These two words destroy and save are complete contrasts. The word destroy means: abolish, cast down, to end, to perish etc, the word save means: to deliver, protect, make whole, preserve safe from danger, to heal and restore.

As Christians and as a Church we have been given the ministry of saving people, no matter how lost and deep in sin they might be. If there is a place on this earth where people should find healing, restoration, safety and wholeness it should be in a church that believes in Jesus Christ and His word, sadly today many churches and Christians do the opposite and are in the business of destroying people and condemning them. Instead of raising people up many times we cast them down.

I want to let you know in this simple note that no matter how bad your life is at this moment, no matter what you have done or how bad you have blown it, there is someone that wants to save you and not destroy you and His name is Jesus Christ. This church will endeavour to fulfil this mission and let you know that there is hope and a future for you in Jesus.

If you are saved I encourage you to be a vessel in God’s hand to spread the saving message of Jesus and remember that our mission is to save people.
