Godly Women (Part 1)

PDFPrintE-mail

Happy Woman with GodI want to offer a special greeting to all the beautiful women that will be reading my series on Godly women. Why do I call you beautiful? Because we were created by a perfect God, with his perfect hand and everything created by Him is therefore perfect. For the last year God has been burning in my heart the topic of what being a real Godly woman entails, based on Proverbs 31:10-31 . This scripture is mostly used for mother's day but when we study it in depth, we would find that God is revealing to us the secret of being successful as a woman in every single area of life, that is as a wife, mother, employee, entrepreneur, employer , etc. This scripture not only talks about what women are capable of doing but also touches on the character of the woman who fears God as one that has wisdom, dignity, compassion, is hospitable, has the right priorities, and even the right sense of fashion.

It is interesting to me, that in previous years, women in the church have felt personally attacked by messages of submission, decency and modesty that, unfortunately, now the church has gone to the other extreme. Now we have churches full of women who think the purpose of their creation is to prove themselves, keep up with fashion trends and look pretty; in other words we have women who have no idea what their role is and are therefore missing out on the blessing of real success. When we know who we are by God's grace, we will not strive to prove ourselves in any level of life because we will be able to function in the role God has created for us, and that brings an unexplainable inner peace and fulfillment.

Woman of GodMy beautiful reader, lets pause for a moment and meditate where our priorities lie maybe we're living a stressful life because we are not functioning in the role that God has created for us, we're too busy competing with everybody, being demanding, being egocentric, trying to keep up with what the world says a women should be and look like in this day in age, that we have blurred our vision of what God expects of us as his children and servants.

It is my hope and prayer that together, through the study of the word of God, we may expand our spiritual vision of our role as women who profess to love Jesus. Let's not just say it, let's show the world how beautiful and abundant life can be when we allow our Lord to take control of our lives using every gift that God has given us to be a blessing to all that come in contact with us.

God bless you all!!
